Heated Swimming Pool

Welcome! If you're craving a warm, inviting swim—whether at home, nearby in London, or maybe something garden‑friendly for the adults—this page is for you. We’ve gathered all the heated pool options, what to look for, and tips from real parents who just want a safe, relaxing dip.

Heated Pool – What Makes One Right for You

When we say heated pool, we’re talking more than just a warm bath. Here are the key things parents look for:

• A reliable heating system that keeps water comfortable year-round (not just “summer warm”).

• Safety features: non‑slip edges, safe depth changes, secure fencing.

• Good cover or shelter options for chilly or rainy days.

• Easy access (especially if you’re carrying towels, floaties, or kids).

• Maintenance, clean water & filtration—because no one enjoys murky swims.

Where you are in London, how many people will use it, whether it’s for serious laps or splashy fun—all that matters when picking the right heated pool.

If you’re after something local, check your borough’s leisure centres or local councils. Many have outdoor heated pools or lidos. Also worth a look: private clubs or gyms may allow day passes.

heated swimming pool

A generic search term, but one that helps when browsing tools or apps. When you see listings, check if “outdoor”, “year‑round heated” or “seasonal” is specified, plus whether there’s a children’s section or adult lanes.

heated swimming pool London

In London there are several good ones:

• London Fields Lido, Hackney – a 50m heated outdoor pool, open all year, with lane swimming, café, sun deck. Better

• Charlton Lido – outdoor 50m pool, heated to ~25 °C year‑round; plus gym, café etc. Wikipedia+1

• Hampton Pool – open 365 days, heated, with adult & learner pools. Hampton Pool+1

These are great because they balance accessibility (you’re not needing to travel far) with good facilities.

heated swimming pool for garden

Thinking of installing a pool in your garden? Key considerations:

• Size & depth: enough for comfortable adult swimming if that’s in your plan.

• Insulation & heating: solar, electric, or gas heaters; covers to retain heat overnight.

• Safety: fencing, covers, alarms. Children around? Ensure strong safety measures.

• Permissions & maintenance: you may need planning permissions; water filtration and chemical management matter.

We can help you pick garden pools (heat included) if you like—there are some lovely ready‑made kits out there and high‑end luxury options too.

heated swimming pool near Waterloo London

Right around Waterloo, your pick is a bit more limited for large outdoor heated pools—but there are hotel pools, gyms and spa clubs that might offer access. It’s often a trade‑off between proximity and whether pools are big, outdoor, or seasonal. If you tell me your postcode, I can find ones really close by for you.

heated swimming pool for adults

If it's just adults (no paddling toddlers, no float toys), then you might prefer:

• deeper water or gradient to allow full strokes without dimpling the water.

• quieter times or adult‑only sessions.

• lap‑lanes.

• maybe heated ambient air (not just water) so it’s comfortable entering/exiting.

Some pools offer “lane swims” or “swim fitness” sessions, which tend to be calmer and more serious.
